A Sweet Museum
Besides the mysteries of Castel del Monte, Andria offers what can rightfully be defined as “a treat”: The Confetti Museum of
“Giovanni Mucci”.
In the heart of the historical centre of the city, just a few steps from the Cathedral (that re-opened after four years of renovations and that preserves the “Sacred Miraculous Spine of Christ”) and the Town Hall, in the elegant liberty building that was the first premise of the factory, you can discover the secrets of the production of confetti, fruit-shaped almond sweets, dragée and bon bons, still made following the traditional recipes of the Mucci family, producers of sweets since 1894. In the various rooms, under the typical stone ceilings, you can admire the utensils and machines necessary for the production of these little masterpieces of tastiness. And after? You can satisfy your tastebuds with the free tasting of some specialties.
