Tasting and preservation
How to taste oil? Simply smell it deeply after warming it a bit or pour some on a piece of bread to appreciate all its excellence and smell its fragrance. In order for oil to remain unchanged, it’s necessary to preserve it correctly. First of all you must pay attention to the due date, because as time goes by, the product loses its organoleptic properties. With ageing, differently from wine, oil tends to deteriorate and modify its taste and smell. It is recommended to use oil the same year it is produced. If it’s preserved correctly, therefore in a sealed bottle, it can be kept for up to 2 years. Finally, it is good if you remember that the containers (always in glass, preferably dark, and never in plastic) should be kept far away from heat and sunlight.
